In September 2008, Orion has designed a 5 well using the same horizontal well farm (1 for 5 multiple branches horizontal well project) at xxx block for PetroChian, after vertical well drilling and for avoiding vertical well from entering into coal production face, Orion has exercised a connection of vertical well with a nearby well program in the southwest direction and re-deployed the main borehole and branches borehole in the northwest direction. Orion has accomplished 3D directional drilling in 3 weeks and met the challenges of difficult drilling job, achieved 4500 meters drilling footage. The well group’s average single well drilling footage was 4700 meters and achieved average single well production in excess of 30,000 cubic meters.
