The 4G horizontal wel (cluster multiple stage fracing and single piece horizontal well) was a product from 3G horizontal well technological advancement and modification. The 4G well adopted a single wellbore design, improved the drilling process and greatly expanded extension ability of horizontal well (horizontal well section could extend to 2000 meters), it has achieved quick and continuous horizontal well multiple stage fracing (exercising casing fracing to reservoir without applying cementation). The technology could apply to horizontal well for coal bed methane production of 1000 meter depth and 2000 m to 4000 m sandstone and shale has reservoir, after adopted Fltpak pumping technology, it could effectively deploy horizontal well in reservoir of any production condition and thus it has removed the limit from formation inclination to the wellbore in the past. It has achieved cluster deployment and mobilized resources under the limitation, optimized surface engineering of gas transportation ,minimized the cost of development and the 4G well bears pragmatical significance.
Orion was organized construction and pumping management of a 4G well (xx-03 well) and was successfully completed in December 2011 in Shizhuang Nan block Shanxi province. The after commissioning production was excellent. Application of 4G well signifies across the board release of excellent resources covered by vast forest land.
In 2014, 2 of the 6 4G wells were completed at xx 05P well group, Libi Block, Shanxi province, it has good production prospection and the engineering of the well signifies a curtain draw for the 4G well cluster operation.
